The ready starts when the four Stanley kids; David, Janie, Esther and Blair, meet their radical stepsister, Amanda who says she knows witchcraft. I chose this book because I handle mysteries and the picture on the cover caught my attention.

The basic ariose theme of this book is how Amanda, who doesn?t the likes of living tabu in the country with her new stepfather and stepsiblings, tries to dismay them enough so they fate to mo ve back to the city. Not only does Amanda non like their new country abide, she also doesn?t like her new step-dad and his four kids. By using bother- guess witchcraft, Amanda tries to make the family believe their new house is haunted.
